Podcast #1: The Fringe Guys
Grab your fun assessories and get ready! That's right, it was a late night last night but I managed to edit together my first podcast. You can listen to it by clicking here:Listen to this episode
I finally was able to reconnect with Adam last night and was really great. He's the one that started me on this blogging rampage and be sure to check out his posts at www.yesbutnobutyes.com. He goes by Echowood.
I have so many ideas right now and so little time to execute them. We'll see how many of them I can get done even if it means staying up until 1:00am like I did last night to finish the podcast.
If you didn't see Obama on the Daily Show last night, be sure to check it out by clicking here.
Did you hear that Google is cutting back on their employee perks...what?? no more caviar at the salad bar?
Have a great day!

This or That?
I took the above photo awhile back with my cellphone and I had forgotten about it. It proved that Uncle Traveling Matt is still alive and well.
I'm sure you have all heard about the book, Eat This, Not That! A diet that tells you to eat an apple, not a bowl of ice cream. Well I was watching The Biggest Loser at the gym last night (how appropriate) and they had a challenge called This or That. Two delicious snacks were revealed and team members had to decide which was the healthier option. Let's play one round right now eh? Okay, you tell me what the healthier breakfast would be.
1) A whole wheat bagel with lite cream cheese
or
2) An english muffin with ham, egg, and cheese?
**Answer will appear at the end of the blog to be sure you read the whole post.
I love stories like this one. Parents bring their kids to see High School Musical and are treated to the first few minutes of Sex Drive before the projectionist realizes they forgot to switch reels. Aparently there is nudity in the first few minutes also which makes this story even funnier. Mommy, is that Zak Efron's...
Scalpel, needle, water! Get me water! We're losing her...

Yes, you are seeing correctly. Those are Cabbage Patch Dolls.
Okay, it's time to reveal the answer to the This or That Challenge! The healthier option is.... the english muffing with ham, egg, and cheese!
Take it away boys...

Podcasting

I have always wanted to delve into the world of podcasting but never wanted to just do a podcast that had me rambling on about nothing or me coming up with characters I would play and then interview. My fellow readers, I am about to start podcasting and I am really excited. As you may know, I created a blog for NYU Arts and Science Alumni. I encourage you to check it out. I am happy to announce that in the near future there will be podcasts of interviews with interesting alumni right on the blog for everyone to listen to! Stay tuned for more on this.
David Wain has been very kind to Boaz and me over the years so I would like to plug his new movie, Rolemodels, which looks very funny and is getting great reviews. Way to go David! Rolemodels opens in theaters November 7th. For more fun be sure to visit David's website at www.davidwain.com. And if you missed David's piece in New York Magazine, click here to read it. It's hysterical.
Well, I won't be eating here.
Have a great day! I leave you with this:

If you build it, they will come.

Picture this... It's dark outside, a slight chill in the air. You get in your car and drive to Alstede Farm where at night, you can try to get through the corn maze with your flashlights and then take a hayride in the dark to a pumpkin patch to find pumpkins. This is exactly what Elise and I did on Friday night and it was a blast. They had a big fire going and families were gathered around making s'mores. There was apple cider and music. It was definitely a good time. Good old country fun.
I finally got around to watching Fringe this weekend and I watched all six episodes. I'm hooked. It's an excellent show and I'm looking forward to an interview I'm doing with two guys who come up with the scientific stuff for the show. Can't wait. In the 5th episode, the actor who played Joseph Meegar looked familiar and I realized it was Ebon Moss-Bachrach. I believe that I used to go to Stratton tennis camp with his brother so it was cool to see him.
Did you see this list of celebrities who have gun permits?
Short post today! But please take a moment to enjoy this:

I want a Whatnot!!

Okay, so it's a chilly Friday morning in the East and I am keeping warm by the fireplace, cup of mulled apple cider in one hand and the newspaper in the other. It's quiet and peaceful here by the fire and I wish you could be here with me.
I haven't been to FAO Schwartz in quite some time but now, now I have a reason to go!!!! The Muppet Whatnot Workshop! That's right, for $90 you can build your own Muppet and have it shipped to you. This is every Muppet fan's dream, well, next to meeting Jim Henson. I am really excited about this.
Is it going to be a reality show or fox news program that will make Sarah Palin a television star? Perhaps she'll get a hunting show or cooking show or talk show. The possibilities are endless.
The New York Times got it right.
Did you catch this interview in the New York Times with Frank Bruni, restaurant critic?
I'm looking forward to some fun weekend activities and hope the rain holds off. Have a great one.
I'm not sure whether I mentioned that I'm going to be Superman for Halloween this year. And on that note, I leave you with this:

Missing You, Lost
I cannot wait until Lost returns. Watching the Season 5 trailer made me salivate. Check it out:
Hey all you Top Chef fans in NYC, be sure to check out the truck while it's in Union Square.
I was excited to learn that the Museum of Natural History is unleashing a skating rink. I wonder if underneath there will be a frozen Wooly Mammouth.
You may have heard that the Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family.
The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September. The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August.
The RNC also bought the entire family a trip to Universal Studios and individual rifles. Watch out Rocky and Bullwinkle!
Many people ask me, Evan, what do I tell a cop if I get pulled over for speeding. I usually just tell them to tell the truth and apologize. But I've been thinking lately, what about blaming it on Beyonce?
I'm really excited for Halloween. What are you dressing as?
