Yes it is indeed true, rain helps the flowers and grass grow, and everything look nice and green, so I'm sort of enjoying this rainy Friday. Or maybe, it's because I'm on a heavy dose of antibiotics? I caught a few minutes of the Martha Stewart Show yesterday and a segment on Compost Tea. I know you are curious. Martha at one point said it would probably be alright to drink to which her guest said, I wouldn't recommend anyone drink this tea. Here's the idea. Take some fresh compost and put it in a container (the tea bag) which floats in a large tub of water which is agitated for 24 hours until the water is saturated with the nutrients from the compost. Then you can water plants with the tea and even spray plants with the tea. The plants grow healthier and taller and that, my friends, is compost tea. Isn't that right Dirt Dr.?

So they've been filming the Jerry Bruckheimer produced film The Sorcerer's Apprentice here at NYU this week. You can see photos of Nicholas Cage playing the Sorcerer here. Sounds like the film is going to be a huge NYU advertisement adding to the list of such films as The Freshman, The Family Man, The Visitor, Loser, and many many others. For some reason those are the ones that immediately come to mind.
