I sit at my computer tonight just having been told that the apartment I was convinced I was renting was going to be rented to someone else. When I handed in my checks and signed my portion of the lease I figured the owner would sign it as he had made a verbal agreement with my real estate agent at BrianDavid Realtors in Hoboken. Tonight I received a call from my agent letting me know that the owner, Peter DeCarlo, had found renters who were going to pay him more than me. And those people would be getting the apartment. I am fuming mad and although I'm sure I'll find a nicer and larger place, it wasn't a fair thing to do. I know, I know...life's not fair, Evan. So here's what I want you to do. And I'm serious. Write to Peter DeCarlo and let him know what a big mistake he made. Let him know that he could have had one great tenant. You can really say anything you want to him. I've provided his information below. Am I now completely 100% turned off by real estate agents? Perhaps. So...now the hunt continues. And while I continue my search, you send your letters in to Peter. I want him inundated with letters from my readers.

Hey Evan, so sorry to hear about what the sleezy insurance guy did. You'll find a better place and I think it's a good thing you didn't get the place as you probably don't want to be renting a place from such a sleezy dude.
Hey my parents one bedroom is for rent on Jon and Justine's block - want to have a look (it has central air, a small study, hardwood floors, a dining room and eat in kitchen?!)
