Women love Oprah. She gives them cars, gives them her favorite items on her "My favorite things" episode, gives them Tina Turner, and waves a crazy Tom Cruise in front of them. Then she opens a school for girls in South Africa. How bad could this be? Well, according to this article , Oprah's school is like prison. Strict visiting hours, calls to parents only allowed on weekends, no sugary treats!!! Oprah, come on! Send these girls some taffy! Or better yet, send them some of your favorite peanut brittle. I don't understand, everything looked so wonderful on those specials you aired dedicated to the opening of this school. The girls looked so happy, and now, they can't see, talk, or email with their family at their leisure. Not to mention no twinkies.
