Cell Phone Danger

It's Monday morning, tomorrow is April 1st and it's going to be 66 degrees. A big difference from today and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully the smells of stagnant urine will not come out just yet. On Saturday night I went to see the middle school play at Elissa's school while she chaperoned. It was definitely an interesting choice of two one acts for these kids. The shows were purchased from Playscripts, a company that brings original work to the school so that they can put them on. I think I want to direct a middle school play. Yesterday, I went with Elissa and her family to the infamous and very crowded Woodbury Common. You can literally shop nonstop from 10 to 5 and not be able to cover every store in this outlet village. I bought some summer clothes at Ralph Lauren and still prefer to do my outlet shopping in Manchester. No crowds, no pushing, no fighting over parking spaces and you're surrounded by mountains! Okay, there's my plug for Vermont. So, what's in the news?

We've heard before that cell phones may put us in danger and you should read this article.

Mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the mobile phone industry must take "immediate steps" to reduce exposure to their radiation.

Scary stuff. Looks like I'll be using my speakerphone from now on.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new Wholphin DVD!! I've mentioned this gem of a dvd many times on this blog and I hope that you subscribed. If you like short films, you will love Wholphin. Some of the best material I have ever seen has been on these DVDs. Click here to subscribe.

Watch out, Paris is dangerous!

Field of Greens and a birthday!

Let me start this post off by wishing Adam a very happy happy birthday. For those of you who don't know, the only reason I started this blog was because of Adam. You can check out his blog here. Join me in wishing him a Happy Birthday! I only wish I could share a birthday with Mariah Carey.

I bought myself a present last night off of one of the trainers at my gym and I know you are going to want one. I've been trying to bring my lunch to work lately and I enjoy packing salads. The only problem is, how do I keep it cool and what do I do about the salad dressing. Can't put it on the salad in the morning and I don't really feel like carrying a separate container for the dressing. I also don't want to try to find room in the tiny fridge at work to fit a bottle of dressing which will most likely be used by others or tossed out. EUREKA!! I now have the FIT-FRESH salad container!!! That's right, now my salad will stay cool all day and there's a built in dressing dispenser! Now, don't you want one?

Take it away Connie:

Junior

It sure feels like Spring today and it's nice to hear the birds singing in the mornings now. I'm not sure if you ever saw Junior, the movie in which Ahhhhnold gets pregnant and Danny Devito helps him along the way. Don't mistake it for Twins, now that's a classic. Well there's a Portland man (well sort of) who is claiming to be pregnant!

I love movies! And there's nothing like a great movie theater experience. Well it looks like I'm going to have to try on of the luxury cinemas which are being built!

"Each complex will sport theaters featuring 40 reclining armchair seats with footrests, digital projection and the capability to screen 2-D and 3-D movies, as well as a lounge and bar serving cocktails and appetizers, a concierge service and valet parking."

While Sex sting after sex sting are being uncovered in New York City, they are also happening in Manatee County, Florida.

Carlos Underhill, 93, will not be charged, although he does not deny stopping to chat with the "good-looking girl" who made eyes at him and turned out to be an undercover officer. Underhill was fined $150 for trying to pick up a prostitute in 1990, when he was 75. In the latest case, he says, he was not cruising Tamiami Trail for sex: He just wanted to chat with the buxom woman who smiled at him as he drove past.

Well it's nice to know Carlos can still drive! But he should really be watching the road.

Ang Lee attempted on Hulk movie and now there's a new one! Did you see the trailer? Ed Norton...looks good.

and then there's Tropic Thunder!

Have a great day!

Under My Umbrella..ella...ella..ella..ey..ey..ey

There has been a lot in the papers lately about the world's tallest man. That, and Gov. Paterson basically reveals a little something about his past every day. Gee, I wonder what's next?

" While his size is intimidating, Stadnik charms visitors with a broad grin and childlike laugh. He seems at times like a lonely boy trapped in a giant's body, even keeping stuffed toys on his pillow.Stadnik's stature has brought attention, but he struggles to lead a normal life. All the doorways in his one-story brick house are too short for him to pass through without stooping. His 440 pounds cause constant knee pain and often force him to use crutches.Stadnik loves animals, but had to quit his job as a veterinarian at a cattle farm after suffering frostbite when he walked to work in his socks in winter. He could not afford custom made shoes for his 17-inch feet."

Now that he is THE tallest man, I wonder if there's going to be an introduction to the world's smallest man as the did with the now second world's tallest man last year.

You may remember awhile back I was ranting and raving about a guy on my bus who I thought stole my favorite umbrella. Well, my umbrella has been found. That's right, no one took my umbrella and I am so glad to have it back. I'm glad I never confronted the man on my bus. I think it's going to rain again this week so I can use it.

An Owl Almost Flew into my car

I hope you had a happy Purim and/or Easter. I was in Vermont for the weekend with Elissa and my family and it was really nice. Elissa and I went out to dinner on Saturday night and on our way to the restaurant a huge owl flew in front of my windshield. I honked and stepped on the brakes to avoid the hooter, and he/she flew away unharmed. Phew.

We also got around to watching Enchanted this weekend. I must say it was enjoyable and I still have that darn song stuck in my head this morning..."How does she know that you love her.." Okay, okay..if you haven't seen the movie, here is the full number...

Short post today, lots more tomorrow!!! Come on back.

Oh, I almost forgot. This happened to me too just the other day!

Spring Is Here

Happy Spring!!!!

I hope you are as excited about Spring as I am. But don't put away your coats yet...it's really windy out there today. And while we're on the topic of coats, did you see this article? That's right, this couple made fur coats from their dead dogs fur. Creepy.

Woman 1: Oh Merdle, where did you ever find such an incredible fur coat?
Woman 2: Oh, why thank you Ethyl, I had it made from the fur of my dead dog. I don't fetch the paper though, Harold does that.

Weird huh?

It's tax season, have you done your taxes yet? This is the second year in a row I am doing my taxes online with TurboTax and while it is very easy, it can also be very frustrating. I was up late last night trying to figure out some things and haven't finished yet but I'm getting close.

Happy Purim from your local Rabbi:

And Happy Easter!

Okay, Okay...It's an old video but it's a classic. I'm off tomorrow so no blog. Enjoy your weekend.

Moonvertising

Let's start this dreary day off with a tap dance...take it away Mr. Prez:

I'm sure by now you've seen Rolling Rock's brilliant Moonvertising campaign. It's everywhere, and the website is pretty cool. You can type in a message and they will project it on their virtual moon. I submited my blog site as I always welcome new readers so click around on the moon and let me know if you come upon my blog!!!

I know other people have "auctioned off their life" before but Elizabeth told me about the current Aussie who is selling his life.

After splitting up from his wife, Ian Usher realised that life had lost some of its charm. So he decided to sell it on eBay. All of it. His entire life. Not just the airy, open-plan three-bedroomed house and the ageing Mazda 929, but the motorbike and the jetski and the bicycle and the furniture and the bed linen. And the friends.
The successful bidder will even get a two-week trial in Mr Usher's job at a rug shop in Perth, Western Australia. The sunshine and beach lifestyle will be thrown in for free.

You can see his site here, and perhaps you want to buy his house?
