The Man In White

We've all seen him. The man in white. Underneath the bright lights of times square he stands, strumming his guitar, posing with women, and shaking in his white underwear. While he's not quite naked, he calls himself the Naked Cowboy. When I worked at Letterman during my college years I would always see him out there constantly surrounded by tourists. Why didn't I come up with this idea? Well, according to this article , the naked cowboy pulls in just under $400,000 a year. Yes, you read that correctly, $400,000 a year. Which makes me think to myself, gee NYC could use another naked cowboy. Or better yet, a naked cowgirl.

Happy Friday! The Obama rally is over and Washington Square Park is empty. Great Adventure tomorrow and apple picking on Friday. Looking forward to my visit with the infamous Boaz Frankel who is in town. Yee-ha.

Go to Rally, pickup singles.

Apparently the Obama rally that is taking place in Washington Square Park tonight is going to attract a lot of single people. So if you are looking for that special someone, head on over.

On my way home yesterday I saw people actually building more sand figures in Port Authority which confirms that the palace is in fact real. There was quite a crowd gathered to watch but I couldn't stop as I was rushing to make my bus. I had to have some cavities filled yesterday and it's always so much fun. Especially since I have it done without Novocaine. Judy is so good though that it's never too painful. One of the cavities was in one wisdom tooth. Now everyone I know had to have their wisdom teeth taken out. They got to take a day off from school to recover. Not me. My wisdom teeth grew in and fit in my big mouth. I should start a club for people who still have their wisdom teeth. I'd be the only member.

I've never been a good flosser but I'm going to have to start being better. I went out and bought a new electric toothbrush. I'm all set to fight cavities. Watch out decay.

Good Morning, New York

Last night we had an event at the Grey Art Gallery, NYU's own. The current show, The Geometry of Hope has garnered rave reviews from the press and many people showed up last night to take a look at the exhibit. I encourage you to check it out if you are in the area.

I was rushing to catch a bus home last night and snapped a photo of the sand palace in Port Authority. It's an advertisement for an airline I believe and I think it was real although you can never really tell.

It's awful to hear when a stuntman dies on the set of a film. This is what happend on the set of Batman:The Dark Knight, a movie which I am very much looking forward to.

Sand palace

Port authority palace made of sand. More to come on tomorrow's post as i am posting this from my phone.

Evan being goofy

Here's a video that Ben posted on YouTube of me pretending to be Kenny G minus the flowing blond curly hair.

Knocked Up is out on DVD today so if you missed it in the theaters, you can now watch it in the comfort of your own home.

I'm a bit tired this morning as we had an event last night and there's another tonight.

Weekends are Fun!

Let me start off by giving you another reason why NYU is better than Columbia. Way to go Dean Coatsworth! How much is your coatsworth?

Yom Kippur was this past weekend and I spent it with Elissa and her family. After fasting on Saturday we broke the fast with a delicious spread and on Sunday went to the infamous Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. Now I must say that I enjoy shopping and I even bought a suit at Ralph Lauren. Take a look at this:

Ahh, it looks like a nice little fake New England town with a few shoppers. I always think it's a great idea to make a trip to Woodbury until I get there and there are busloads of people arriving at this destination. It's chaos. Thousands of people running around throwing clothes here and there as they look for their sizes. The food court is packed, the bathrooms are packed, the stores are so crowded you can barely look at the clothes. The parking lot is swarming with cars just waiting for a spot. I suggest you go early so that you can finish your shopping before the buses of people start arriving. We did have fun though, and that's really what matters.

Is it lunchtime yet? I could go for some dessert.

And now, some Swedish television:

Dr. Jones, Dr. Jones

That's right, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! Who's excited about seeing Harrison Ford back in his Indy costume? Gee, I hope this movie doesn't disappoint.

While we wait in anticipation to see Harry running after trains and attempting to capture the Crystal Skull, we can turn to the French, who always seem to come up with the best dances. This new one, the Tecktonik will really give you quite a workout.
